About Arquà

Arquà traces its roots back to Roman times, but it was during the Middle Ages that the village gained the appearance and significance that still define it today.

In 1370, Francesco Petrarca moved here, drawn by the tranquility and beauty of the place.

The poet spent the last years of his life in Arquà, where he found inspiration for some of his most famous works.
